@Jimmy Watson  I had just put the 1k deposit down on the 3 which is slated to start at 35k actually was going to buy a few of them... however in Aug.. they sent e mails offering some pretty neat specials if you bought a X or S  so I jumped on it..

I've only ever heard experienced people pronounce it as R-E-I, each letter said, but this is also my second post or so, might not be the most reliable.

Some sellers may be fine accepting 1K but many might laugh if being offer $25 as is promoted by some on BP.
