I'm not sure how Florida works, but in CT, we pay the water because failure to do so can result in foreclosure, so that's not something we're willing to count on our tenants for.I don't know how quick or expensive eviction is in Florida.

We bought the warranty as "insurance" because at the time we were about to have a second baby and we had to replace a car that was totaled by an out of control minivan.....we were hoping AHS would replace a unit of we found ourselves cash strapped at the time of failure.

For example, if you the owner builds based your own design they might be more liable for picking the wrong material, fasteners, assembly, etc, and not having a structures professional design it for crash loads, failure paths, etc, but not necessarily if there are material issues at the OEM level…..
