I'm not an IT developer, more of a sever/systems guy but I use technology to keep me straight with my investing.

I don't have contacts there yet but will try to go for a month in Nov or Dec to buy.

@Matthew Haskins I have someone with this technology to build out lists and overlay with income levels, etc. 

I use electronic signature software (among other useful technology) in my business everyday.

If your town doesn't have that or a big technology companies supplying jobs chances are long term the value of your investment will not do well, in my opinion, and Jeff's it seems.Those who are putting faith in Uber's driverless cars saving the rural areas I think are wrong.  

While it may be that you have hit on some innovative strategies - it's also possible that those strategies have been viewed as in violation and so aren't practiced.

With the recent crowdfunding rules sourcing money globally has become easier because technology can link small issuers to the BD community who can help with items like this.  

These days people are savvy and comfortable using technology.
