This is very regional.

One of the first metrics I started looking at was the price to rent ratio.I pulled a few pieces of data, joined it together, and visualized it to get a handle of what the price to rent ratio for different regions looks like.

And in my view, having a Condo in a region with a new influx of businesses and residents meant I could expect price appreciation and rent growth.

A few options you might be familiar with are hard money loans (where they look at the asset more than the borrower), or a portfolio loan from a small regional bank in your chosen market that plans to keep that loan on their books and earn the interest from it.
