Splitting a lot in to 2 parcels?
I just got an offer accepted with a property on a .28 acre lot with a large Victorian split in to 4 units and a in law unit with a separate driveway and porch leading outside essentially its own house.
My question is, how do I find out if a lot is splittable? Which would really change the potential of my deal.

This is very regional. In FL my Mom completed a split for ~$1,500 and 3-6 months of coordination she did herself. Here in San Diego I do these locally for clients and it takes 2-3 years and ~$25K (plus other consultants and Govt fees etc)...one County over a client said he can get them done in 6-8 months...so where you are really matters with land development.
