Sometimes when landlords have posted regarding tenants having insects in their units, someone facetiously posts that it is a violation of "no pets" to have those critters.So, I was watching a show on TLC this week, and an episode included what is in the link below.

Note that _technically_ caulking the trim rings is a Code violation but I would personally not have issue with it, and it's highly unlikely that it would be noticed by an inspector anyway.

You will send them a 5 day demand or whatever is required by your state eviction laws and they will call the building inspector and they will meet you in court with a notice of violation.
