Does anyone have any advice on getting a job at a home remodeling company?

So my city seems to require permits for anything and everything...kitchen remodels, bathrooms remodels....if you make any changes period pretty much they want you to get a permit, but what kind of problems could I face in flipping or Brrrr-ing a property if I don’t get a permit for let’s say the kitchen remodel or the bathroom remodel.

Best of all worlds for me - I know it's being paid, I've got a consistent charge to budget for, and the tenants still have motivation to let me know that the toilet's running.

San Antonio has HEB which I am sure doubled profits on toilet paper and hand soap alone this year.
