As I am shopping for my first real estate property, I am struggling to understand the trend of which kind of properties are popular in developing countries.

Condo conversions have been extremely popular and I imagine the process isn't overly complicated, but can be very lucrative.

SE Michigan is a very popular area for what you are looking for.

. ;)To give some perspective, more than half of those BP podcast guests have never lived as an investor through a RE downturn, and I wish them no harm, but they are so leveraged up to grow fast that I'd bet that half of those more than half will end up going bankrupt in the next downturn.

friend of mine is doing this in portlandia.. look at the big developments I think in the netherlands or other parts of Europe they are away ahead of usAlthough my buddy is more of a philanthropist with this particular endeavor he even donated a fully functional one to the collage... although he hopes to some day turn that around and make them viable financing for himself as well.. but i bet he has spent 250k or more on this so far.. all for science / construction lab at the collage
