I figured it was because we left the door open and we had a smart thermostat.Fast forward to this week, after continuous inefficient cooling, and the AC not turning on at set temperature for the third time, I decided to call the warranty compan, through the initial assessment we noticed that the condenser line was frozen (visible ice on the line).

So the Contractor will stop work until he receives payment. it works both ways and the Contractor is at risk here too, so they will not get ahead of payments.All in all, what it does is slow things down - a lot - so people avoid doing it.Better to just be a smart, responsible homeowner and pay the Contractor in a timely manner AFTER the work is complete and inspected.

I know they have something saved for retirement, but not enough to retire on….I wondered how I could make smart decisions that would allow me, God willing, to retire when I needed to with enough money that I wouldn’t have to worry about living expenses or having enough money to help out my kids when I wanted to.

I thought I did all the right things by hiring a licensed PM (not the cheapest) who answered my screening questions the best - and I am going to be taking repossession of the property in about 30 days.I've been watching and reading some great things on tips for setting up virtual "showings" and I was researching lock boxes when I stumbled upon smart locks.
