I did not have to buy any extra training materials to pass the test.I am probably going to put my license into holding until I am in a better financial position to actually start practicing (Which should be about a year from now).

The labor and material for both would be the mostly the same (maybe the $1M house needs a bit better finish on the materials).

Unlicensed people like handy men are limited to the amount of work they do and the amount of money involve including materials and labor.
