I studied architecture in college, and now work for a builder/developer in Nashville, and recently started my real estate investing career.I purchased my first home on the outskirts of Nashville with the thought that I could "house hack" by renting it out on AirBnB.

I have someone I can recommend that has built fences for our properties and do a lot of work on our flips and developments.

This is why when I was looking for a multi I eventually purchased in a non-rent controlled area.

I came up with the idea to start looking at real estate after I inherited a sum of about 60k and wanting to put the money somewhere instead of keeping it in a savings account where it eventually will go to waste.

I ultimately would like to be a successful real estate investor and to create my own development company if opportunity allows for it.

I'm actually planning to make my money in 4-5 years, when developers are wanting the whole assemblage. 

The problem was eventually, there was no "next person" and there was no tenant.

The owner lived there and we eventually came to an agreement.

You’re saving money by not paying off someone else’s mortgage, and sounds like you’ll be collecting from your once occupied space eventually.
