Bottom line is that if you want to be really wealthy at a young age, stick with the Pharmacy degree, use the earnings and creditworthiness of being a pharmacist to leverage your RE. 

It's not due as much to our status on the world scene as it is due to our culture and geographic isolation.

Family Office" is a term used for a wealthy family that has considerable wealth and creates an office to manage the family wealth.

I'm lucky enough to be financially independent, but I'm not financially free/wealthy ... yet. 

Or could it be that it has a very stubborn, wealthy owner, still paying the mortgage and refusing to look at reality?

I bought raw land (abandoned rice fields) and planted 50,000 tissue culture seedlings and hired a field manager. 

The cost of housing here is high and a lot of investors buy properties here after seeing a profit from investing out of state or after accumulating some sort of wealth .I do see myself personally buying in Israel but not in my current situation (plus I believe that the real estate bubble will pop in a few years so I'm patient)

On the upside, it’s beautiful, we have great weather most of the year, amazing food, and entrepreneurial culture.
