It's not worth the extra money to me for the flood insurance.But, if the old lady upstairs floods her bathtub, and I need to move out while repairs are made, my insurance will cover my hotel up to $4,000, and give me replacement value on all of my stuff.I got a discount through AARP, and pay about $14/month.
