If you are looking at MLS deals, you will need a skilled agent that has experience assisting investors.

One possibility: see if you can go to a temp agency and look for work in construction trades only - HVAC, roofing, electrical, framing, etc, as a general laborer.

Day trading is a lucrative strategy if you understand probabilities and follow a plan.

Since you have your license, you have some experience and a skill necessary for the business.

Before that I’ve been in business strategy and technology consulting for about 6 years, where I developed my professional skills, analytical capabilities, and ability to present and network with executives.

Please don't ask me (contractors) to come do a walk through and give you a number on the spot if the job is fairly involved and includes several trades. 

I feel like it would be smart to go ahead and get my feet wet in RE now so once I have become a doctor I already have properties, skills, and don't have to worry about learning something else since I will be in school/training for at least 12 years.

I have rental properties but Id like a plan B if I need a different full time job.I landed on appraising, because Its not far from my current core skill set.Where did everyone go to get started?
