Furloughed at work and looking to make the most of this time

Hi Everyone,

Long-time BP fan but first time posting in the forums.

I find myself with an asset on hand that I don't normally have a lot of - time. Does anyone have an suggestions on what I can do to make the most of this situation?

I have some experience but am still a newbie. I own one SFH rental and my primary residence will become a rental at some point as well. Ive been on the sidelines for about 2 years as my wife is in grad school and we have been living on one income. She graduates in Dec and has a good job lined up and we plan to purchase more properties in the future.

Over the last 5-6 years I've listened to many of the podcasts, read most of the books, etc. that BP has put out but I am looking for more hands on experience. I don't know much about home renovations, contract details for off market deals, etc.

Does anyone have an recommendations for hands on learning opportunities? Are there things that I should approach established investors about offering to do for free in exchange for apprenticeship/shadowing? I have enough cash reserves to make it through with no job, so my goal is to learn as much as possible while I have no job to make the most of future endeavors when I have more capital on-hand.
