Starting in RE now or wait until I'm a MD?

Hey so this is my first time here on BP.

I have always loved RE ever since I can remember. As a child, I'm 19 now, I would wake up on Saturday mornings to watch all the flip shows, but I also am going to school to be a doctor. I start online college in August to get my bachelor of science. I want to start in RE as well. I have an investor willing to show me the ropes and help me get started now, but I don't know if I should learn everything from him while I'm in undergrad or wait until I have become a MD in 12+ years. I feel like it would be smart to go ahead and get my feet wet in RE now so once I have become a doctor I already have properties, skills, and don't have to worry about learning something else since I will be in school/training for at least 12 years. Would love to everyones opinions, suggestions, and ideas!!

Thanks
