Sorry for the baseball reference for those who don't like America's past time.I'm a new investor and after putting in some time with books, blogs, this site, and Bigger Pockets podcasts, I took the plunge and since August have closed on 3 deals with a potential 4th in the works.  

Don't let Excuses keep you from taking the plunge!!!..

Don't experiment to learn by plunging in.  

I have been a long time listener to the BiggerPockets Podcast and finally took the plunge into the forums.

After looking at my situation, and where I want to be in a few years, I am ready to take the plunge in one of two different ways.Option 1: Join with an experienced investor as a junior partner in an apartment deal.  

I had zero experience in pest control when I decided to go in that field and after spending months reading everything I could on it in forums or other media I took the plunge and never looked back.  

However, vacancy is low (<4% much the past decade, though up considerable in the past couple of years with over 400 new unit coming on-line)After observing Saint John for a few years, we finally took the plunge in 2016.  

I’m currently well positioned to take the plunge, great credit, some cash for down payment, and am hoping for a FHA loan (and a 203k loan if necessary) but need to find the right experienced agent, contractor and make the right connections.I plan on attending the local real estate meetups in the next month, but am wondering if there’s anyone out there in Bigger Pockets that can provide some referrals.
