Hello,

I am from Central Wisconsin and am about to embark on my real estate adventure.  Hoping to learn a ton from the members of the forum that will help me succeed in my goals with real estate.

I am interested in buying rental properties in my area to use as a investment down the road when I decide (if I decide) I don't want to work anymore.  Currently I drive a semi for empoyment and love being behind the wheel.  I am about to change companies that will afford me the option to be home daily instead of just on weekends.

I am also about to start real estate school with my wife so we can both obtain our real estate license with the end goal of at least one of us getting a broker license.  We intend to use this license for our own purchases, but also to buy and sell for the general public as well.  

I am also very interested in getting into property management as well.

So as you can see we have very hefty goals.

A little about me.  I am an Army veteran who struggled to sit still after my service.  I have moved around quite a bit since being a civilian but thanks to my wife putting her foot down I have finally found a home in central Wisconsin.

I used to own and operate a pest control/wildlife removal business that I sold in 2014.  I had zero experience in pest control when I decided to go in that field and after spending months reading everything I could on it in forums or other media I took the plunge and never looked back.  Then in 2014 I decided to sell out to a competitor and have pretty much been miserable working for the man ever since.  That is until I climbed into my semi.  Sure I still work for the man but I spend all day in my truck alone being left alone.  No boss looking over my shoulder or calling me into the office to ask why production is down.  It is as close to being my own boss as I can get without being my own boss.  

Anyways,  I have been interested in real estate for years and just haven't took the plunge because of my nomad ways.  But since the boss said we are not moving anymore this seemed like the perfect time to start my research.

Sorry my introduction is long winded but I look forward to learning from the group and don't worry I always use the search feature before asking questions.  haha
