I am looking for some peers to bounce ideas off of and discuss strategy.

Like I said in one of my posts, I have seen this type of market before - all of a sudden prices start bouncing around and listings start to disappear very quickly.

If they are someone who manages their money correctly they can bounce back and catch up, or set their self up where it doesn't happen in the first place.

@Jeff Quintanilla  you were blessed doubly because in the year you did the short sale the IRS had a moratorium on issuing 1099C for short sales and debt forgiveness.. this is the one instance were Uncle actually was thinking about the average American who found themselves in an upside down situation. things have bounced back I bought a rental in orchards at the peak 209k rented for 1k..

Hello BPers,Hoping to bounce some ideas off of some Greater Philadelphia area wholesalers who have had some success in the area.

They looked to US RE as a safe haven for their capital (must have forgotten about '07).I agree 100% that we're at the top, and heading down with a couple dead cat bounces along the way.What the Fed needs to do is tell the market that they're not going to raise rates, and then eventually drop them, and another round of QE.

After you receive the first months rent and deposit, the second month's check will bounce, followed by many excuses, deaths in the family etc.
