The government just said they wouldn't prosecute anyone who killed a landlord, and the tenants rose up of their own accord and murdered their own landlords.

Hello BiggerPockets family,My wife and I own a multifamily apartment building, and we had a terrible tragedy a couple of days ago.We await the final police report, but there was an apparent murder/attempted suicide in one of the units.So far we’ve spent $20k in crime-scene cleanup and they still have another day of work to do.  

The contractor gave me a good price, I paid him 350 for material and 500 for labor to get started and the remaining balance of $700 would be paid on completion.2 days into the work he called me and said his brother was murdered and he could no longer finish the job.

I inquired why this was an issue and was told that if a murderer or similar got through the background checks and I rented to them and then they committed said crime that I would be held responsible for that!

She would get all my assets when I die anyway so if she gets nervous about the marriage, it will be time to pull the trigger on that murder she’s been planning for years. 

I don't mean to frighten you, but there have been at least a couple of high-profile murder cases of women killed while walking alone in and around the area where you currently live (Hyde Park, campus). 

The fact that it didn't end correctly is a mystery. 

Of that remaining 10%, most of them have a "not technically sales" sales job... a high school teacher is "selling" those kids on studying and doing their homework on a daily basis, for example, and on the notion that Algebra isn't mysterious witchcraft, in fact it's something that you can understand and apply to your daily life.

It always baffles me how many people ask if they can have early check-in to "drop off their bags" or "to make the most of the weekend" or whatever... like it's impossible to do anything at the destination until suitca...

And I get it they did have the title of murder capital in the US.
