I am pretty new also, and so what little advice I have for you is this....put yourself out there and get a great mentor to work with!

Also, find a mentor!

I guess the best advice I can give you is to keep networking with people here to get mentors that will help you as you start.

I was talking with my friend/mentor earlier this week and we were discussing gaps in my knowledge and what might interest me to learn.  

Hi Team, I am new to BiggerPockets and currently looking to network with future Mentors/Partners with the ultimate goal to establish my Real Estate Career within the Counties of San Diego and Los Angeles.

I've read many times on here that a great way to form a relationship with a mentor is to present value (or do something they don't want to do) or hopefully in this case it may be just enough to show some initiative. 

I've got a good professional relationship with him and he's somewhat of a mentor to me.

BiggerPockets is great to learn things and ask general questions, but for the kind of help you're looking for you are better off finding someone to mentor you in person in your area.Good luck,Vincent
