@Jimmie Dickey I can only speak on what I've noticed, and that is that most of the properties in this area (especially in my neighborhood behind the high school) seem to be rapidly increasing in value.  

Additionally, I would likely be investing out of state so I'm sure if being licensed in NY would be as helpful to me.My question is: Do you have any suggestions of other career paths I can pursue (that will give me knowledge/experience that can be translated to real estate investing) with little to no more schooling necessary?

The property is west of 635 in the KC Schlagle school district.

When I was in school we all used to call Dover: “Dirty” Dover.

If I had these two property managers as a choice: A) In business less than 5 years but has school accreditation B) In business 10 years with no school accreditation for pm; I would chose B.

Now with 3 children and the need to move to a county with better schools, we are looking to upgrade.

Even though my home is in a mature single family home community, some not so desirable homes/communities feed the area schools which make them not great.  

I just did mine online with Freedom Trail Realty School.

In NY for example, there are property taxes and there are school taxes.

I have always wanted to be involved in real estate since I was in middle school.
