If the homeowners were about to lose their property to foreclosure and be out on the street or displaced, someone comes along and brings them whole, pays off the remaining mortgage in exchange for the deed and then allows them to stay in the "home" that they know and love as tenants, they don't have to pack all their belongings (or collect them from the curbside) and relocate with a foreclosure on their record....Why is that a scam??

In many cases deadbeat tenants can be bought off using the time tested "cash-for-keys" approach.I have used it countless times and it seems to always get a deadbeat tenant to pack up and move.Just be sure to get a signed document indicating that this deadbest is vacating the property and has returned the keys in exchange for the cash.
