The promoter is likely to tell you they have a great group with good speakers and great education, I just doubt it in reality.

You need to have something worth someone elses time.. find what is special about you, what can you offer or what niche can you feed with your skill set. then promote your strengths!

I am getting a website created right now, and the focus is on promoting my podcast, and to attract potential investors.  

So telling him to go listen to a ton of self promoting podcast or go read a bunch of generic books would not be helpful either in my opinion.He’s helped work on multiple house projects that I was rehabbing.
