When interacting with my eldest brother (15 yrs older than me) I do so as a sister most of the time.

I can get a few names from my brother.

What we don't have is the home buying and renovating experience (although my GF's brother is a General Contractor whom would probably be willing to give advice during renovations).Our main thing is that we don't want to buy like 99% of the people and pay the price that 99% of the people pay.Again, if you made it this far thank you so much for your time in vetting this idea or at least pointing out the pot holes I may need to look out for.

If there's any kind of law on the books in your neck of the woods TREAD VERY CAREFULLY FRIEND, God forbid the tenant takes you to court and on the morning of your hearing the judge and Mrs. judge have a knock down drag out over her dead beat brother and unfortunately YOUR A DEAD RINGER FOR THE DEAD BEAT BROTHER.

My brother-in-law just bought a bigger house and is having me manage the old one (30 minutes away but in Washington). 

Three , do what my brother does he brings his back hoe and road grader home a few times a year fix's his mountain road .. neighbors who can pitch in with few bucks do.. but he makes sure it gets taken care of.. been doing that 20 plus years.

At this point he is highly motivated.With that being said, my brother and I came up with a creative financing offer.

My brother was hit head on by a drunk illegal who had no license and no insurance, and yet was released by the police.

Lock arms with my brothers and sisters and march in the street protesting the injustice of making me get a license.
