.- it seems unlikely you would have to make a payment with the 1040NR return because of the withholding on the sales proceeds, unless you have other ECI.- you can validate the accuracy of the filing instructions by independently reviewing the form instructions to make sure the addresses etc are correct.- it’s fairly common for foreigners to pay the IRS by check as it’s notoriously difficult for them to open US bank accounts after the patriot act regulations.
