Hello BP Community,I am trying to decide if I should start a corporation before buying my first investment property.I live in Toronto and am looking to invest in Alberta.

As I'm in the beginning process of trying to purchase my 1st small duplex investment property.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Recommend you first figure out the property Class you want to invest in, THEN figure out the corresponding location to invest in.If you apply Class A assumptions to a Class B or C purchase, your expectations won’t be met and it may be a financial disaster.If you buy/renovate a Class A property in Class D area, what quality of tenant will you get?

Suggest saving the money though, for possible emergencies, and then paying down the loan at the refinance closing.This may take 12-24 months, so how badly do you want to invest to build wealth?

@Mitchell Kosek, if you can afford to buy in your market, without question, you should explore house hacking before investing out of state. 

The guy I’m working with I’m nearly positive has some investments under his belt as well as one of the top agents in the state and I figured he was the main source for that but just double checking.

I would like to get my first investment property before the end of the year. 

I've had an investment property and also done a flip.

In the short term, I aim to replace my monthly income from my current entry-level job, I dont make a ton of money so this shouldn't be too difficult.
