Filing a complaint with could open a can of worms not only with the other tenants (as they stand to lose their Section 8 benefits), but also with the Landlord who stands to lose his guaranteed income or have to spend more $ bringing the property back up to the level it needs to be in order to be able to rent to Section 8 tenants.OR you could put together a creative offer to purchase the property from the Landlord.

Their reasoning was that the options may never be renewed so they are taking a risk on the total lease value over the years.So you could have a 50 year lease but only an initial 10 year guaranteed with 40 years of 8 five year options.
