The idea that you can build wealth without putting any money into it is a recipe for disaster and the sales pitch of gurus trying to steal your money.

Although I do not necessarily want to do large developments, I am keen on the idea of buying acreage (maybe 10-50) and building single family homes in higher demand areas.

Never a good idea.  

I think with proper education and guidance you’ll excel at a much faster rate and save a lot of money in the long run.

I've had the property walked and will have an inspection done and have a proper budget set aside for the inevitable things that will come up.
