House Hacking Duplex - San Diego
Hey everyone.
Im basically looking to buy a $1mm duplex in Chula Vista , 2 bed/ 1bath on each side owner occupy, and rent the other side. 3.5% down. FHA loan with monthly payment including taxes about 7800. the other side would get up to 3200. If I go to rent it out at some point that's a negative cash flow of nearly $1400 assuming rents and rates stay the same.
I was interested in doing this because it feels like I won't ever get into the market. I also considered the appreciation potential.
Another thing to note, my wife and I make combined about 350k so we can afford the monthly payment comfortably.
