That's my mentality anyway.

We have told our daughter, for example, to consider keeping her apartment while she buys investments in another city as she cannot afford to buy in the area she wants to live in, but she has an affordable one-bedroom apartment close to everywhere she wants to be, so perfect for her right now.  

A future in which I can show my beautiful two year old daughter the value of hard work, all the while being adequately able to provide for her.I live in northern Virginia (DC suburbs), but have always had the mindset of working nationwide.

They think of themselves as investors but they are no different mentality ypthan someone who works flea markets. 

Our daughter is Anastasia (Anna-stah-ja, not Anna-STAY-sha) and she seems to hate us for the originality.  

It's great to hear that you've decided to treat investing as more of a business, I believe this mentality switch is VERY important in attaining long term success in this industry! 

She also said that the owner's daughter is living there currently, but is in agreement to sell the house. 

My daughter's childhood is temporary and I am tired of missing out on a great deal of it because I have to invest a ton of time to barely get by helping someone else reach their financial goals.

One of the things that is critical to success in any field is mental practice.
