I had 1/4" added to two bathroom ceilings because we didn't think the current ceiling would hold up where we wanted some little led lights with the tension clip mounts.

A fact is that the thermostat measures the air temperature at the wall in the room it's mounted to, not where there's a warm room. 

If you're going to do this anyway, have the sheeting go all the way up.Not sure I like the idea of plastic sheets going up high unless that sheet is directing the water into the drain; I can only imagine hydrostatic water pressure causing water infiltration that leads to a bulge in that plastic sheeting.

I was working for a retail company where salespeople with no high school diploma were making well into the 6 figure commissions.I have 4 children of my own right now and I am not going to pressure them to college.  

The lack of experience and expertise of their investment personnel was frightening,; they paid me a large sum, and then chose to ignore my advice and invest in a low quality deal because they were under pressure to invest the capital they had.

Hayward has bad schools, which makes it less desirable, but the pressure from the peninsula is so high right now that it almost doesn't matter. 

The answers to all of the above may indicate a longer term negative pressure on the value since you may not be able to continue the use.
