The upside is sort of being advertised, but not really... and even then it seen as something that can be difficult to accomplish. 

That may offset less than spectacular cash flow, but at the end of the day you have to be sure that the place will support itself and turn a profit.Without diving too much into the family dynamics, this can be a prickly situation.

I do think you will have to take into account when you advertise it for rent as that will start the clock on what is capitalized or not.

There is always plenty of it, most without any first hand evidence to support it.

Theres like a hotline type thing you can call if you feel like you have been discriminated against and they advertise it on the radio.
