There is a way/website you can search for everyone who has been served/received notice for civil serviceman's/sailor's act within the last 30 days.. but you will then need to do some extra legwork to cross reference the "name" of the individual with public record to see what property they actually own.

Two SFRs as rentals isn't comparable to owning a 44-unit so that's going to be a tough barrier to cross even with a good property management company.

I'm hoping to have it for many more years and drive it into the ground (fingers crossed!) 

There is a house in my neighborhood (Dyker/Borough Park border) that has been vacant/abandoned for a long time.

I always list the cross street never actual address.I always stress credit checks ,landlord references , security etc The best thing i use is a google voice number or talktone or any fee VoIP service and always use craigslist email relay.

If the border patrol found anything there went my truck and tools too.
