I agree with @Jordan Moorhead - go northwest on 183 to Liberty Hill or hang a left on 29 and head towards Bertram for that price point. 

As a real estate broker, you're not hanging onto any business liabilities - except for a possible lavish lifestyle of personal liabilities.  

Hanging drywall in a $60K rental is no different than hanging drywall in a $750K house . 

I decided to hang in there and It took well over a decade to get anywhere close to what I paid for them back.

I do not want to give up on real estate investing again, but what I am going through now is making me want to just hang it up again and maybe permanently this time.

My options are:1) I quit my job and jump into being a full time agent and hope I start making money before my savings are depleted2) I keep my job but lower my hours and start off by being a part time agent until I get the hang off earning clients3) I quit my job and go work as a licensed real agent Assistant for a top producing agent to learn the ropes while still earning consistent incomeAny advice will be truly appreciated.

He probably hangs with a rough crowd and a couple of them came over to threaten him, rob him, or something and it got out of control.

I would encourage you to get your Brokers license if you can, but hang your license with another broker while you learn. 

Or hanging out at lucky peak.

I'm also trying to get the hang of analyzing deals and educating myself about the process in general.
