Hello everyone,

I just passed my license exam and on the final steps of getting my license. I’m just torn between a few different paths to take moving forward in my real estate career. For reference I currently work as a Pizza Hut delivery driver and is what I’m paying my bills with. My worry is that I won’t be making money for the first few months as a new agent and won’t be able to cover my living expenses. My options are:

1) I quit my job and jump into being a full time agent and hope I start making money before my savings are depleted

2) I keep my job but lower my hours and start off by being a part time agent until I get the hang off earning clients

3) I quit my job and go work as a licensed real agent Assistant for a top producing agent to learn the ropes while still earning consistent income

Any advice will be truly appreciated. Also if any agents in Orange County California are reading this are looking for a motivated and hard working assistant to help them in their business I would be very honored to work for you! Thank you

I did option 2, but in your scenario I'd go with option 3. You will learn a lot more, there's a pretty big learning curve and it's tough getting clients and then winning deals is a whole different ball game in today's market. If you want to pick my brain send me a DM, just got done with my first year and am at 69 closed/pending transactions. All about consistency and finding your niche.
