This doesn't remove the suck-factor, but it does get you out of the situation faster and lets you wash your hands of this operator.Otherwise, if there is clear mis-practice of some sort of law here it may be feasible to recover the money from them, but that is a long road most of the time and the more decisive your evidence the better.What has has your building insurance said about the damage?

Each month you cut a check to them as evidence of interest payment, when property is sold the loan will go to your parents after escrow closing from title company (i.e. deed of reconveyance).

The following are the documents used in a "Trust Deed" state, (I can only speak for the states in which I've owned ppty):Warranty Deed: This TRANSFERS ownership from the SELLER to the buyer, it's not so much a "proof of ownership" as it is a "record of transfer".Note: Evidence of indebtedness, spells out who borrowed how much, from whom and the terms under which it will be repaid, and the remedies to any breach.Deed Of Trust: This is a very confusing part to many people.
