There are tenants occupying both houses on the property that I’m trying to house hack.

Other business structures are less expensive but I don’t know as much about them and what I’d need to do to keep them up each year.We have purchased 2 of our houses personally with owner occupy loans and our latest one with an investment property loan.

Has anyone hired a property manager for an owner occupied multi family?

It seems like most loan companies offer construction loans for properties that are up to two units with preference for owner-occupied properties.

After getting quotes back from my broker, I am being told its actually 25% down and the best rate on a non-owner occupied investment property at this time is 4.125% with a limit of 4 units total. 

i am currently under contract with a triplex that has 2 units that are occupied. current landlord renewed leases just before signing contract. tenants have lived there for 2-3yrs. how do i know they are current on rent/have been up to date during previous lease?

HelloI would like to know how does the taxation work when selling an owner occupied Duplex.There are two scenarios here, 1) The rental unit has similar square footage as the owner occupied unit.2) The owner occupied unit has more square footage for example it’s double the square footage of the rental unit.How does the taxation work in both scenarios?
