I have been reading tons and learning as much as possible on real estate investing but as I live in Baden-Württemberg, many tax rules and markets are entirely different here.I'd love to connect with you or anyone else who is looking for a group of sharing knowledge, investments, funding and so on.

To be honest if I was hired to host this property the entire place would need a revamp before I agreed to take it on.

My business partner and I have a joint LLC (shared business bank accounts / credit cards / etc) - pretty standard stuff.

I know that is not always the case.Selling anything right now to have to buy another primary doesn't appeal given rates now vs. what we have, but to your point we might be able to do more with that cash vs. just leveraging equity & financing.I'll run some numbers and happy to share with more data.

have you considered making the place into two high-end condos instead?

Many places you can have a mother in law but not rent as a seperate unit so this would be similar.
