Also heating a 5 bed will be cheaper then a 7 bedroom house so the bigger the house the more utilities you end up collecting anyways. so usually everything is covered even with winter cost.

So single people and/or empty nest couples stay put in 3-4 bed units rather than downsize to a 1-2 bed unit because their rent would skyrocket.If you are not living in a rent controlled unit and want to move into one of those markets, tough luck...
