There's definitely going to be a need for notaries in RE for as long as notarization remains a recognized and regular practice for ensuring the validity of contracts.With that said, though, I would be mindful of entering into a business where there is virtually no way to create a distinguishable difference between your service and the services of competing firms.

I'm wary of hard money lenders and I've contacted some private mortgage lenders in the area as getting a loan on this house is virtually impossible because of the condition of the property and my low income last year because I was still in school.

Again, $25,000.As a contractor, you virtually have to hire this stuff out because trying to do all the paperwork required such as OSHA logs, proper masks, good faith survey, air quality monitoring, daily logs, safety manuals, medical clearance before and after, etc. is not possible for a licensed contractor to have all the paperwork done properly.
