Depending on the property configuration, I would take two different courses:  A) reconfigure the utilities - relocate hot water heater, shutoffs, etc. to be under your control or B) Negotiate with the adjoining owners to get a key. 

In some midwestern states, Supreme Court justices are in the opinion that the practice is unconstitutional.

It doesn't sound like this is normal practice for the mgmt company I started using in Gainesville and I'm wondering what is considered "normal". 

One partner wants to set this up as a monthly $550 charge, saying it is "standard practice." 

They both said that it is common practice that people buy investment properties on their own names, and after a few weeks of the closing, they transfer the title to a single owner LLC.

Need advise on how to set up best and practical asset protection.

Just recently finished residency and am now a practicing physician.
