If the home is free of bed bugs when the tenant moves in then any infestation would be their responsibility because bed bugs travel in on the backs of people.

I live in the Boston area, have 2 multi's & have a full time job ( self-employed) .So , Boston to Rhode Island , would be my travel (2 1/4 hours) .....don't mind periodically traveling to keep checking the property, in fact I prefer to do that.

Its easy to get excited and act on impulse when investing becomes a reality.

It's great to be able to visit or travel to events in other cities without having to make a 9 hour drive.

For instance, I am looking for passive income, so that I can write and travel.

Many investors would not be excited by your example.The answer relates to risk tolerance; supply vs demand; and other factors (location, location)...But sure, one reason why investing in Real Estate works is because renters keep on renting!

Unfortunately I travel for work Mon-Thu most weeks, so I can’t make it to this one.
