New Investor-Charlotte, NC
Hey BP, been a member here for a few years but never been too involved. Over the past couple months I've been listening to BP Podcasts whenever I can, just finished "How to Invest in Real Estate", and I close on my first house tomorrow (2br 2ba).
I'm most interested in investing in single family houses, potentially a duplex if I can find the right deal (not too many of those here in Charlotte). I'm ultimately interested in rentals, and until recently the plan has been to utilize a combination of the VA and FHA loans to leapfrog from property to property and rent them out after I move on to the next. However, after reading and listening to more on BP, I'm very interested in the BRRR route with the next house I pick up.
In the short term (next 1-3 months), my goal outside of the house I'm moving into is to learn as much as possible as funding options as well as rehabbing to open up the possibilities once I start looking more seriously for the next house at the end of the year.
After thinking about the MINS, posting an introduction on here seemed like a great next step. So I look forward to meeting the BP community!
