Lots of people travel with their significant other and appreciate the extra bedroom to use as an office for the partner who is working from home.

We manage a property that is an STR duplex in the primary home, and an MTR in carriage house (above the garage).

I am building a home that has toungue and groove interior walls and ceilings. 

I have been working full-time RE,  BRRRR method on single-family homes in my local area for the past 4 years.  22 homes completed-  (2 sold) 20 long term rented.  

Though my real estate business focuses on multifamily housing, this topic resonates deeply with me.I remember talking to my father about why he lived at home after graduating from college in the 1950s.

Is it possible to purchase a home from someone, and give them the first right of refusal to buy it back at a specific price at a later date?

My assumption is that this is not their first rodeo and as such, their loan documents should have covered the need for permits for partial payments on the improvement amounts. 

Is it better to first purchase a primary home for myself (living in CT), and if so, does it matter whether it’s a house or a condo?

I have tried searching on Zillow, but I haven't been able to find any homes with fire damage by using the key word feature. 

We put our home on Zillow/FB Marketplace/Avail about 10 days ago.
