One way to maximize your gains though is to use credit cards to pay expenses like rehab supplies etc and then pay them off soon.

Hello,I am moving to Lithia Springs, GA in a month and a half (quick timeline I know!)

There is great information on this site and others, but nothing replaces experience IMO.My question to the BP community is this: what opportunities are there for someone like me to learn and gain experience despite my time constraint?  

I have gained so much knowledge from the podcast and videos that I have already watched on here.

However you will learn a lot of valuable lessons on your first one.

I would have expected my tax basis in assets to go down by $900k so that when I sell, I would have more capital gains tax to pay. 

Freeing it up would open up options.Unfortunately 1 year of living in the home presents some tax issues on any gains but the gains seem to be modest so that is not that much of an issue.So what would I do?
