Once I've got a handle on the basic concepts I plan on attending some of the local REI meetings, especially the BP meetups Aaron Yates and Tom A. host. 

Their rates are a bit higher and they do require a min loan amount of 250k so you'd likely have to bundle several homes together.But it might be one way to overcome your reportable income issue.....Good luck.

In this situation, you'll pay for Wordpress site / hosting (or you could do it yourself) + a monthly IDX fee to the third party IDX provider.IDX providers can sometimes have limitations for commercial real estate folks simply because CRE listings are typically not isolated to the local MLS.

I host a REI meetup every month, my next one is Wednesday, Feb 11th starting @ 7pm at Johnny's Irish Pub on Culver near Merchants.I also highly suggest you check out FFREIA, our local real estate investor's association, you will be sure to gain a lot of knowledge!  

Cost a bundle, bought them on Amazon, ebay, and 3-paks in Home Depot.  

I also host one on the south side of town.
