Hello everyone!  I am new to real estate investing and very excited to participate in the BiggerPockets community.  I am in the "educating myself" phase of my career and look forward to purchasing my first property soon. There is a monthly meet up where investors from the metro-Detroit area meet up at a local bar (changes every month) and talk investing for a few hours. Newbies to experienced, there is usually a good turnout.  @Tom A. is one of the hosts, he usually posts when this is occurring a week before on the forums.
