Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself--I am new to BP and to real estate in general. I am about to get my license and am looking to buy my first property this year. I realize Austin is a tough market and I am spoiled because of the location I am renting in right now. Any advice for buying in the Austin area would be greatly appreciated. I've been reading some of the forums and you guys rock! Thank you!

Welcome to the BP community! Glad to have you on board. Make sure you get some good use out of it. There are really great articles all throughout. Brandon Turner wrote an article on how Realtors can set themselves up to be really good resources for investors.

I don't know the Austin area so I can't help you there. Reach out to local experts, take others out to lunch, and attend meetups. That's my two cents.
