Hey BP,

I'm new to the real estate community after starting some research into additional investment vehicles, besides the standard 401k, IRA, ect. I stumbled onto BP a couple weeks ago and currently learning as much as I can, from the podcasts and blog posts here on BP to some of the recommended real estate books. Once I've got a handle on the basic concepts I plan on attending some of the local REI meetings, especially the BP meetups Aaron Yates and Tom A. host.

My first goal is to purchase a multifamily (du/3/4-plex) in the metro Detroit area, and live in one unit while renting out the others. After I've gotten my feet wet with that I'll see where I want to go from there.

Thanks!
